This custom pickup truck features the front end of a 1948 Ford F1
paired with the bed from an OBS Chevrolet stepside. Inside the bed
is lined with black fabric that reduces noise, protects the bed and
ultimately encapsulated the battery and fuel cell. A custom
hard-fold tonneau cover fits snugly between the bedrails. Under the
hood is a 350 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. A camaro
sub-frame provides some additional rigidity and ultimately, better
handling. The Eagle alloy wheels are 15" wrapped in 205/65 tires
outfitted with disk brakes in the front and 295/50 tires with drum
brakes in the rear.
The custom interior is a neutral beige that feels fit. The seats
are comfortable and the truck is both smooth and easy to drive. It
features a modern radio with AUX input as well as a couple of USB
charging ports. While you're sure to enjoy a summer drive with the
soft-top off, it does seal above the windshield and snap on behind
the seats to provide cover in the event of wet weather or the
beaming sun.
