Description:
This Factory Five Racing Mk3 Roadster is powered by a 347ci stroker
V8 linked to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Ford
8.8? rear axle with a limited-slip differential. The fiberglass
body is finished in metallic gray with silver center stripes over
black vinyl upholstery, and additional details include 17?
Halibrand-style wheels, Baer front calipers, drilled and slotted
front rotors, adjustable upper control arms, rack-and-pinion
steering, and an AFCO racing Panhard bar in addition to AutoMeter
instrumentation, Simpson racing harnesses, quick-jack bumperettes,
and a single roll hoop. The car was acquired by the current owner
in 2023 from their father, who built the car. This Mk3 Roadster is
now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Florida title
listing it as a 1965 Ford.
Interior:
The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl upholstery
which extends to the dashboard, door panels, and transmission
tunnel. Interior elements include a fire extinguisher, tinted
sunvisors, Simpson latch-and-link harnesses, leather door check
straps, and Ford Racing-branded floor mats. AutoMeter
instrumentation includes a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, a
tachometer, and gauges for monitoring oil pressure, oil
temperature, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The
five-digit mechanical odometer shows 14k miles.
Exterior:
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in metallic gray with silver
center stripes and features quick-jack bumperettes, a hood scoop,
fender vents, a bullet-style mirror, wind wings, a single roll
hoop, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, and side exit exhaust pipes.
Drivetrain:
The front-hinged hood opens to reveal a 347ci stroker V8 equipped
with billet pulleys and a Cobra-branded air cleaner cover and valve
covers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec
five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8? rear axle with a
limited-slip differential. Halibrand-style 17? wheels wear faux
knock-off spinners and are mounted with Nitto NT555 G2 tires
measuring 245/45 up front and 315/45 out back. The car is equipped
with rack-and-pinion steering, adjustable upper control arms,
coilover shocks, and an AFCO Racing rear Panhard bar. Stopping
power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Baer calipers over
drilled and slotted rotors up front.
