1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Hardtop-Genuine Sprint, one of only 10,479 coupes reportedly built in '63, having been introduced as a 1963 1/2 model in February of 1963. Sprints had all of the Futura's trim plus a 260 ci V-8 with chrome dress-up kit, simulated wood steering wheel, tachometer, wire wheel covers, and Sprint emblems. This car has all of that plus it was equipped with automatic transmission, power steering, and air conditioning (not complete or working).
Describing this car as a running and driving project. Older paint & body work average at best, most rubber moldings have paint on them and should be replaced. Interior and trunk compartment tidy and nice, car starts, runs, and drives well. Radial tires are good. We have replaced the power steering "rack" and hoses. Front floor pans have been replaced. Original chrome and moldings good but not show condition. Glass is good.
According to the data plate, this car was retained by the company after assembly and could have been used for advertising or demonstration purposes.
