Vehicle Description
1971 LeMans Sport. Was built in Pontiac, MI. Car runs and drives
and stops fine. Spent most of its life in California. Car is pretty
much rust-free and rot-free. Small surface rust in trunk - nothing
through. Grills on the hood have some surface rust. Lower quarter
has a quarter size surface rust spot. Frame is spotless. Floors are
spotless. Car has a couple small bubbles on the trunk lid and one
small bubble on the lower quarter. Paint needs some correction -
some clear coat peeling as seen in pics. Still has all original
body panels. Interior in really nice shape. Needs a rug. Driver's
side door panel is a little ratty. Has factory rear shoulder belts
with holders intact. Was told (have no paperwork) engine is 1968
Pontiac 400 with a Butler rotating assembly (definitely has a cam).
Old school valve covers. Heads on car are studded as seen in the
pic. Transmission is 4-speed automatic, looks like 700 R-4. Also
10-bolt Posi rear end. Transmission fluid and oil are very clean.
Car has headers. Exhaust is about 80% good. Could use new
connections from headers to the exhaust system. Has boxed lower
control arms made by Hotchkis. Car has 4-way disc brakes - stops
very well. Car has 4 stock 15x8 Pontiac wheels - no trim rings.
Power top works fine - has small rip on passenger side as shown in
pics. All glass is good. Car to be sold with current registration
and bill of sale only. The bad: horn doesn't work, windshield
wipers don't work, could use 2 tires, some A/C stuff missing but
have brackets, an old compressor that's frozen. Condenser is still
in the grill. Doors need to be keyed, but have brand new locks in
the console. Hood is hard to shut. Cigarette lighter doesn't work.
Car could probably use A Frame bushings (typical California car -
rubber disintegrates). This is a very good car you can drive now
and restore later. Very solid car. Please Note The Following
