1967 Shelby Mustang GT500Ferrari Maserati Alfa Romeo of Fort
Lauderdale is proud to announce the arrival of this stunning Shelby
Mustang GT500. Finished in Wimbledon White over Black, the GT500 is
in pristine condition inside and out. The odometer shows 86,776
miles, and the Shelby has been painstakingly restored.This 1967
Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 2,048 fastback examples produced for
the model year and was delivered new to Victor Ford of Wauconda,
Illinois. It spent time in several states before undergoing a
refurbishment that was completed in 2003. Finished in Wimbledon
White with blue stripes, the car is powered by a 428ci V8 that was
originally backed by an automatic transmission, though the car was
fitted with a four-speed Toploader in the 1980s. Additional
equipment includes a roller camshaft, the extra cooling package,
Magnaflow mufflers, 15" Magstar wheels, power steering,
power-assisted front disc brakes, black vinyl upholstery, a
push-button AM radio, three-point front seat belts, and a fold-down
rear bench. This GT500 is now offered with an Elite Marti report
and a California title.This example was originally finished in
Wimbledon White (4) and was repainted with blue rocker-panel and
over-the-top stripes under previous ownership. Additional equipment
includes a driver-side mirror, inboard grille-mounted driving
lamps, hood-retention pins, and dual exhaust outlets that exit
below the rear valance. The turn signal system was serviced in
December 2023 along with the installation of a replacement
headlight. The 15? Magstar wheels are mounted with 225/60
BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, while a steel spare wheel with a
Goodyear tire is stowed in the trunk.The cabin features front
bucket seats and a fold-down rear bench trimmed in black vinyl
along with a color-coordinated headliner, door panels, and carpets.
Equipment includes the Courtesy Light group as well as a
push-button AM radio, a Shelby-specific roll bar, three-point front
seatbelts, and rear lap belts. The wood-rimmed steering wheel wears
a Shelby center cap and frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm
tachometer, a clock, and fuel level and coolant temperature gauges.
A Stewart Warner oil pressure gauge and ammeter are mounted beneath
the radio.The 428ci V8 features the optional Extra Cooling Package,
two Holley four-barrel carburetors, a Cobra-branded air cleaner,
and finned Cobra Le Mans valve covers. It is said to have been
rebuilt by Dave's Performance Engineering of Fresno, California,
approximately 3k miles ago, and an oil change was performed in
preparation for the sale. Delivered from the factory with a C-6
automatic transmission, the car was fitted with a replacement
four-speed Toploader manual transmission in the 1980s. The exhaust
system features Magnaflow mufflers.Documentation accompanying the
car includes a reproduction window sticker and an Elite Marti
Report detailing colors, equipment, serial numbers, and production
information.
