Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this very cool 1979
Ford Ranchero GT with only 26,884 actual miles on the odometer! Not
only is it low-mileage, but it comes with a framed Marti report
that says that it was one-of-one when it was built - now there's
some bragging rights! This Ranchero is dressed in a nice
driver-quality respray of Dark Jade Metallic (it's original color)
that's accented by a gold GT decal package. Up front you'll find a
bright eggcrate grill flanked by stacked headlights and accented by
a mirror-finish chrome bumper. Both fenders wear like-new
"Ranchero" badging and both doors sport body-color side mirrors.
Good quality brightwork pops against the green paint with window
trim, door handles, and upper bed and rear cab surround all
gleaming in the light. The bed itself is in stunning condition, it
looks like it's never been used. The tailgate features FORD
lettering and a gold accent decal above another bright chrome
bumper. Exhaust exits behind the rear tires with a nice rumble
flowing out of the chrome tips. This whole package is made all the
better by a set of new-looking Magnum 500 style wheels from HK
Wheels all wrapped in Firestone Firehawk tires that are only 3
years old.
Under the long green hood is a 351 Cleveland V-8 wearing bright
blue paint and topped with black "Ford Racing" valve covers, a
new-looking Holley 2-barrel carburetor, and a stock air cleaner.
This car was originally born with California Emissions equipment,
but those parts are now gone. Other highlights under the hood
include power steering and power brakes with discs in the front and
drums in the back. The healthy V-8 is mated to a C-4 3-speed
automatic transmission with freeway-friendly 2.47:1 rear gears. The
cleanliness of the engine bay is just further evidence of the
low-mileage odometer reading.
Open the drivers door to find that this Ranchero was ordered with a
Brougham Decor Group that still looks great! OEM correct door
panels appear original and show just a little wear on both of the
armrests. The drivers door has an interior toggle control for its
side mirror while the toggle for the passenger side mirror is
located on the dash. Part of the Brougham package are the "twin
comfort lounge seats" done in Jade vinyl. The individually
adjustable seats are exceptionally comfortable, both have
individual fold-down armrests, and they're in great condition with
no rips or tears. The green thick pile carpet appears to be
original to the car and it's in very nice condition. The crack-free
green dash features the "Sport Instrumentation Group" of gauges set
in a cool-looking machine turned bezel. The instruments include a
speedometer, tachometer, amps, clock, fuel, temp, and oil and all
of them are still operational with the exception of temp gauge. The
machine turned plating also serves as a backdrop for the climate
controls and Ford AM/FM radio as well as an accent piece above the
glovebox. Inside the glovebox you'll find an owners manual and a
vial of touch-up paint. Ahead of the driver is an aftermarket
3-spoke green steering wheel on a fixed column with a shifter for
the automatic transmission. The Ranchero does come with its
original black leather-wrapped steering wheel (which also has
buttons for the factory "speed control"). Behind the seats is a
vinyl flap that hides extra storage space and a full spare tire
with jack. Also included with the car are a number of original
sales brochures for the Ranchero and, as previously mentioned, a
framed Marti report.
If you're looking for a low mileage coupe utility that turns heads,
has some decent power, and is a comfortable cruiser, then take a
few minutes to really check out this Ranchero GT - it's quite a
rare find! Give our friendly staff a call right away as this Jade
Metallic gem is sure to find a new home quickly.
