The Lincoln Mark VII was a luxury coupe produced by the Lincoln
division of Ford from 1984 to 1992. 1988 marked a significant
milestone for the Mark VII Series. Styling of these cars, described
by Lincoln as being "contemporary size premium," may have had some
traditional Lincoln Mark cues, but the aerodynamic form was right
up to date and easily comparable to high-premium cars such as the
Mercedes 380SEC and BMW 630. Aero headlamps and a flowing shape
allowed the marketers to accurately describe the car as "the most
airflow-efficient luxury car built in America. Weight was trimmed
dramatically, which improved handling, performance and fuel
economy, and the new car was only available as a two-door.
For the 1988 year, there were 2 trim levels; Bill Blass Designer
and LSC which were both priced the same. This Bill Blass edition
has super low miles and looks great inside and out. Make sure to
look at the undercarriage pics on our website.
In 1988, the LSC and Bill Blass Designer Series had a High Output
version of the 5.0L V8 from the Mustang GT.
