For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet El Camino in San Mateo, California

Vehicle Description

This is a second owner vehicle. Original owner was the Grandfather to the current owner. It's been in the same family for almost 60 years. The vehicle is a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle El Camino restored and modified. Originally a 283 c.i. motor with three-on-the-tree and overdrive. Currently, a 327 c.i. motor with Turbo 350 tranny and Hurst floor linkage. A Carter 4-barrel carb, HEI ignition, high performance cam and headers, together with FlowMasters exhaust contribute to its 350 horsepower. Aesthetically, the exterior paint is Royal Plum and interior upholstery is Saddle making for an attractive color combination. A Charcoal color Zolatone paint bed blends well with Royal Plum. Vintage Carter chrome rims and Radial tires complete the exterior. Refinished Dashboard, New VDO gauges/tach, as well as new wiring harness make for a well functioning/attractive  electrical system. Selective chrome parts and repainted sheetmetal add to a clean look under the hood. For most of the 21st Century it has been in storage taken out infrequently, mostly for entry in car shows. It has not seen rain for all those years. The only exposure to water was during the Detailing process. Mileage on the motor is less than 15k miles.
