final year of the 5th generation Corvette and to celebrate the back
to back class victories Chevrolet achieved at the 24 hours of
Lemans in the C5-R. The special Lemans blue color and silver
stripes pay homage to the race car. A total of 6,899 Commemorative
Editions were produced but only 2,025 were high performance Z06
variants and only the Z06 cars got the stripes in addition to a
lightweight carbon fiber hood. The '04 Z06 was the most refined
performance package to date when released and is among a select few
mass produced cars capable of running the famed Nurburgring track
in Germany in less than 8 minutes. While its track performance is
impressive it still provides an amazingly comfortable ride whether
commuting across town or across country. Those that own or have
owned the final year C4 Z06 are in the know and can tell you what
an awesome package they are. A tremendous value at this price level
just to buy and drive but also a worthy collectable for the person
