***Just SOLD May 2024 *** 15,000 original Miles 1978 Trans Am w72 Special Performance package, 4 speed manual WS6 handling pancake , rare DELETE hood bird (we can apply one if desired), also Radio Delete and owner installed the radio of his choice as you can see in pics. Also this is late production Fisher T top trans am built in July 1978, most 78 were hard tops or Hurst, this is one of the few 4 speed black on black with the new factory Fisher t tops!
In our constant effort to bring the best of the best we present today this survivor museum quaility trans am, original paint in extraordinary condition, stunning like new original interior and we believe second set of tires. Haven’t seen one like this in this original unmolested condition in decades. This TA was built at the Norwood plant in Ohio second week of July 1978, almost by the end of the cycle and shipped to Brustolon Buick-Pontiac in CT where was sold.
The immaculate Custom Deluxe vinyl interior is nothing short of brand new being 46 years old. This car was ordered with performance in
mind, therefore no extra heavy luxury items such a/c, power windows or locks, but thanks t tops were part of this car options when ordered, an essential feature that is part of the identity of our beloved trans ams.
This is a high dollar collectible Trans am, only roughly 10% of the whole production had the 4 speed manual and only a fraction fisher t tops.
The car has received proper maintenance and few things like hoses, tower clamps etc have been replaced trough the years and some clamps will come with the car. The exhaust still has its original catalytic, therefore will pass emission test in those states that require it.
The trunk has the space saver tire, factory jack and mat.
The car was lightly coated (Ziebart) when new underneath, very light and looks great!no rust could be seen anywhere, look up next post for extra photos.
