1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Why This Car Is Special
America's only true sports car, the Corvette, got subtle
refinements in the body in 1965 and we have a very nice 1965
Corvette Red Roadster with a white interior and convertible top
here at Skyway Classics that has a 327 engine and a 4-speed
transmission too. Features 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
327-cubic-inch V8 engine (#3858174) Rams head cast iron exhaust

exudes originality and Corvette small block performance from the
minute you open the hood and see the casting number on the back of
the block #3858174 327-cubic-inch V8 engine in it. This engine
gives sprightly around-town performance and cruises at highway
speeds at no more than an easy loaf. Those 327€s had new cylinder
heads with bigger inlet valves, used hydraulic valve lifters,
wedge-type combustion chambers, long-life rams head cast iron
exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust system, and a 4-barrel carb. Ours
has the chrome open air cleaner, chrome valve covers, orange
painted block, H.D. radiator, and backed by a Muncie 4-speed and a
nice chassis with all the great parts. Interior This Sting Ray
offers a completely luxurious driving environment. For 1965, the
interior features new trim of durable expanded vinyl with a more
subtle texture of white and has individual twin bucket-type seats
that have a factory bolster-like design for more seating comfort
and better lateral support. The red/white/black theme extends to
the black carpet, white door panels, and dual sun visors with
controls for the outside-air-type heater and defroster located on
the central console along with chrome 4-speed shifter and the
electrical clock and radio controls and vent controls that are
located under the instrument panel on each side of the steering
column. In the red dash is a matched speedometer and tachometer are
the primary instruments in the Sting Ray with a re-settable trip
odometer, head-light switch, radio, head-lamp retractor switch,
hood release, and four-position ignition switch to complete the
instrument panel with the great black steering wheel also. Exterior
The styling changes on our 1965 Sting Ray are beautiful and ours is
covered with its bright red paint job flowing over the hood and
louvers behind the front wheels that help increase air flow through
the engine compartment, giving it both an aggressive and
sophisticated look. All the emblems, the bumpers and taillights,
door handles, the flip-up gas cap, and the white convertible top
remain in great condition as well as the correct 15-inch Rallye
wheels with chrome trim rings and caps and BF Goodrich raised white
letter Radial TA tires which give it a great ride with superior
handling. Conclusion More than ever previously, the 1965 Chevrolet
Corvette we have here at Skyway Classics is luxurious
transportation for two, backed by the 327 cubic inch engine that
will give you a sporty and pleasant driving experience. Any 1965
