infamous 1959 Cadillac tail fins GM decided to enter the new decade
with a "bigger isn't necessary better" philosophy and the 1960
Cadillac was given a slightly less dramatic fin when compared to
the tacked on twin pod lamps used in '59. Less chrome also was to
slowly become an industry standard and it was now used primarily as
a body highlight and not purely for decoration. Powertrains
remained the same as the in '59 although this was the last year
that a 2barrel or 3x2 barrel 'Tri-Power' carburetor was offered.
This would also be the last year for the wrap around windshield
styling. In 1960 Cadillac was the ultimate GM jewel outselling
Lincoln, Chrysler amp; Imperial combined! The Harley Earl designed
Cadillac Series 62 was a large luxurious Cadillac that could easily
carry six people and had a power top, air suspension and featured a
large 6,390 cc (390 c.i.) V8 engine with drum brakes. The marque
was discontinued 1964.The 390 V8 engine is extremely strong and
