Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The word iconic is almost as
misused these days as the word decimate, but when describing Ford's
Mustang, there really is no better word. From its record-breaking
initial sales to its 60 years of continuous production, the Mustang
has woven itself into the fabric of American car culture. Oh, yeah,
and then there's an entire class of sporty American cars with long
hood/short deck proportions named after it (pony cars, anyone?).
This nice 1973 Mustang Mach 1 (63R) is a fine example of these
classic thoroughbreds. Lift that looong hood and you'll find the
potent 351 Cleveland V8 that's been fortified with a Holley
carburetor, an Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap aluminum intake manifold, long
tube headers, and MSD ignition. Additional features include power
steering, power front disc brakes, factory air conditioning, C6
automatic transmission, robust 9 rear end with 2.75 gears, front
and rear spoilers, custom gauges, console, AM/FM stereo, and fresh
235/50R15 tires wrapped around alloy wheels. My favorite aspect of
this stallion is its nearly limitless performance potential. The
351 Cleveland engine, thanks to its canted valves, can produce
stratospheric horsepower numbers, and the stout C6 transmission and
bulletproof 9 rear end are engineered to handle plenty of power. If
this pretty pony belongs in your corral, call the team that can
make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full
service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
