this 1968 Camaro Convertible British Green Resto-Mod, a timeless
classic that's a true embodiment of American muscle. 1968 Camaro
and 1 of just 1800 convertibles built in the one-year-only color of
British Racing Green. Owner states it has been said to have all
original numbers matching throughout the entire drive train, which
is uncommon to find intact on a Gen-1 Camaro. Never hit car
retaining all its original sheet metal, dated glass, chrome trim,
etc. down to its spare tire. Arizona car all its life and a
rust-free survivor. Received a full ground-up restoration, then
upgraded to a true resto-mod, while retaining its core originality
and stock appearance. Refinements such as modern suspension,
braking, steering, cooling, structural reinforcements, and sound
deadening materials all help to achieve a tight and secure ride
feel with great road handling for a more pleasurable, stress free,
and modernized performing driving experience. Higher-end level PG
paint is great, with a painted white bumblebee front stripe. Nice
build, no budget parts and only the highest quality throughout.
Interesting to note this is the same color combination as the 1 of
1 historical 1968 COPO Camaro convertible. Original matching
numbers 327 engine fully rebuilt to 365 HP by well-known race
engine builder Tommy Martino Racing in Wall Twp., NJ. Aluminum
heads, Edelbrock aluminum intake, aluminum oil pan, aluminum
radiator, chrome Holley 4bbl carburetor, MSD electronic ignition,
160 amp alternator, etc.. ($20k engine compartment). Rebuilt
numbers matching (owner states) Powerglide transmission. Front and
rear adjustable coil-over suspension by Strange Engineering and
QA1.Hotchkis heavy duty front sway bar. Fabricated rear shock
towers, fabricated rear braces, and anti-sway connector. Power disc
brakes to all four wheels from "The Right Stuff". Rebuilt steering
column, quick ratio power steering box rebuilt from original
housing. New wiring throughout. Rebuilt heater core vent unit.
Custom Stainless exhaust, full-length Hedman headers, x-pipe, and
Magnaflow mufflers. American Muscle rally aluminum wheels with
polished lip (17 x 8 MT's in front/17 x 9 NITTO's in rear). PPG
multi-stage paint with painted white front stripe. Mostly original
interior; upgraded Pro-touring style seats by Procar, Plush
carpeting, with Dynamat sound deadening materials. Vintage
recreation dash combination-gauge cluster by Classic Instruments.
One of a kind 1978 dated original NARDI wood steering wheel,
restored in black lacquer. Classic style Camaro radio in digital
