Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this
gleaming black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible for sale. For
starters, this is a true RS, and not a tribute. While the cowl tag
is not attached to the firewall, it will be included with the car.
A quick check of the Group 3 options on the cowl tag shows "SL",
which indicate Interior Decor Group (the "S") and Rally Sport
equipment (the "L"). Other items from the cowl tag indicate 779-Z
trim, which designates deluxe turquoise bucket seat interior (779)
without headrests (the -Z). The lower body paint code "K"
designates that it was originally Emerald Turquoise, and the "1"
(or -1) indicates it had a white convertible top (as the upper body
paint color). For the rest of the cowl tag, we'll be happy to email
you a picture of the cowl tag and its decoding, but let's just say
that the restoration on this car was so well executed that without
the cowl tag, you'd never know it didn't come off the line in
Norwood in its current black tux attire. Underneath this sleek
exterior sits a powerful and distinctive 350 CID V8 engine. The
potent mighty mouse features a Holley 4BBL carb sitting atop its
Brodix top end kit, with aluminum heads, intake, and matching
Brodix-logoed aluminum valve covers. With only about 3000 miles on
the engine since it was rebuilt, it has plenty of life left in it!
Exhaust gets to the rear via Hedman headers and a custom dual
exhaust with a Pypes RacePro dual inlet/dual outlet performance
muffler. Backing the 350 is a TKO 5-Speed manual transmission,
ensuring smooth performance and unrivaled control. Note that this
Camaro was originally equipped with a Muncie M20 4-speed from the
factory, so it's also an original 4-speed car...now it's one gear
better! And, with that 5-speed, it can make the most of its 3.73:1
rear axle ratio. With such an iconic powertrain at your disposal,
this vehicle is well equipped to bring your motoring dreams to
life. And while you're out enjoying the open road and the
performance that the powertrain combo provides, you'll be pleased
with the numerous Hotchkis suspension and steering upgrades,
including front swaybar and full length subframe connectors; plus,
the upgraded Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake setup. This bad boy
features multipiece slotted/drilled rotors up front, which are
grabbed by massive 6-piston front calipers. Out back, 4-piston
Wilwood binders also clamp down on slotted/drilled rotors. A high
pressure Wilwood master cylinder (with proportioning valve)
supplies ample hydraulic pressure and adjustable front/rear bias.
Further enhancing this Camaro's curb appeal are custom chromed
Foose aluminum wheels that not only set it apart on the road but
also add markedly to the overall aesthetics. Wrapped in 18-inch low
profile Nitto 555 Extreme ZR performance radial tires (235/40ZR18
front, 275/40ZR18 rear), this Camaro promises great road grip and
handling performance, enabling you to conquer every corner with
confidence and style. When it comes to entertainment, this '67
Camaro RS has you covered. It features a satellite-ready AM/FM/CD
radio (hidden in the glove box), ensuring you always have a
soundtrack to your travels. The radio is fully primed and ready for
whatever tunes drive your journey, providing a seamless blend of
technology and classic aesthetics. This Camaro also ensures utmost
convenience with features such as power steering, making those long
drives as effortless as possible. Plus, for open-air enthusiasts,
this classic beauty features a manual convertible top, allowing you
to enjoy the breeze whenever the spirit of the open road beckons.
When it comes to safety, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS is not found
lacking. With seatbelts installed, this classic vehicle fuses
safety with nostalgia, ensuring your drives are as secure as they
are enjoyable. Lastly, step inside and be greeted by its black
interior, featuring new carpet, new synthetic leather upholstery,
and a set of AutoMeter gauges at the front of the center console
(and a hidden AutoMeter fuel gauge in the glove box next to the
head unit). This '67 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible emerges as an
exciting blend of speed, style, and safety. It promises an
unparalleled driving experience, encapsulating the richness of
classic motoring with the benefits of modern features. It's ready
for a joy ride or a show-off at a classic car event - all it needs
is you at the wheel.
