1975 Jensen interceptor Mark III
Original car with complete frame-up rebuilds in 2018. Very few miles since rebuild. A few minor items are replacement as noted and the original parts are available. Car is a reliable tourer and presents well at shows.
Details of restoration.
Body sand blasted, primed and repainted by Blair Autobody. The car had a vinyl liner to the roof, which reattained moisture and was removed during the restoration. This is common practice in restoring these cars as there is no practical way of ensuring sealing, given the roof design.
All glass was reset in new seals and all welts and rubber components replaced.
Engine had a complete rebuild with new pistons, timing ger, pumps and valve trains. (City Motors Toronto).
Carburetor is a Demon 750, with a chrome air filter. Original Rochester carburetor and Mopar filter available.
Transmission and rear end fully rebuilt By Kingston Transmission.
Electrical wiring original with repairs as required. The convoluted tubing is nor original but deemed necessary to protect the wiring.
Firewall and hood insulation replaced with the original double layer foam and aluminum.
Climate control is the original and not very effective No AC. Modern replacements are readily available.
Interior was professionally reupholstered in full leather including all the panels and squabs. This award-winning interior required seven full size hides.
Tires are new on original aluminum rims.
