Vehicle Description
1970 Lamborghini Miura S For Sale - Complete Nut and Bolt
Restoration, Numbers Matching LMC is very proud to offer for sale
this 1970 Lamborghini Miura "S" Since its arrival in 1966, the
Lamborghini Miura has been an icon of automotive design being
regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever built and the first
ever Supercar. A work of art created by the young Marcello Gandini,
the newly promoted head designer at Bertone. Moving in a different
direction to their competitors, Lamborghini used a V12 3.9-litre
engine that was mid-mounted, providing the car with excellent
weight distribution which layout had only been utilized by race
cars previously. Throughout its life cycle, the Miura was improved
creating variants in the form of the P400, S, SV and SVJ. The Miura
"S" offered here is one of only 338 total produced by the factory
from 1968 to 1971. It was ordered and delivered to its first owner
in Naples Italy on February 10th 1970. He specified his new
Lamborghini be finished by the factory in beautiful Rosso Corsa
with striking Blue interior, the same way you see the car today. It
would spend only a few years in Italy before finding a new
long-term caretaker in the United Sates. It would see only minimal
use during his tenure, before finding its way back to Europe in
2009 with its new owner. Several years later, this benchmark low
mile car would receive its first complete no expense spared
restoration. This highly collectable "S" retains it numbers
matching body, chassis, as well as engine. The entire process
itself was extensively photo documented and comes complete with
invoices. Fully documented in the Miura registry, complete with
period production records and owner history. We recently acquired
this car from one of the most prominent collections in Europe. It
was on display at his personal museum and has seen little use since
completion of its restoration. Additional Details: 1970 LAMBORGHINI
