A rare, classic 1950s luxury car complete with modern running gear, a combination found only in your dreams or is there really such a unicorn out there?

Come to MotoeXotica Classic Cars to see this 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham Custom Sedan for yourself.

Dressed in Maroon with a brushed stainless-steel roof, this car's paint and trim are in overall excellent condition. The car's glass panels and lights look great. The bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is extremely tidy, the cargo area is clean and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body.

GM boss Harley Earl and designer Ed Glowacke combined features from the best GM show cars in this vehicle, including the panoramic windshield, the pillarless four-door hardtop and suicide rear door configuration and a brushed stainless roof.

Besides a roof trimmed in brushed stainless, the car had self-leveling air suspension. The exterior ornamentation included wide, polished lower rear quarter beauty panels extending along the rocker sills and rectangularly sculptured side body "cove" highlighted with five horizontal windsplits on the rear doors. Tailfin styling treatments followed the Eldorado pattern.

This custom Cadillac rolls on BFGoodrich Silvertown white stripe radials, size 215/65R16 at every corner. Each one is mounted to a forged aluminum wheel topped with a factory wire wheel cover. The wheels are in excellent shape while the tires are in very good condition. Underneath the body is an X-frame that was developed to work the industry's first production self-leveling air-ride suspension, in conjunction with America's first production four-link rear suspension.

Under the hood is a modern LS-series V-8 engine from Cadillac V-series sedan with electric cooling fan. The motor is backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features are plentiful - vintage air-conditioning, power disc/drum brakes, power steering, power windows including the ventipanes, power locks and power sideview mirrors. It also had the first six-way power seats with automatic two-position "memory, automatic trunk opener and closer, high-pressure cooling system, polarized sun visors, electric antenna and a dual heating system. Other unique features included an automatic starter with restart function, E-Z-Eye glass, Autronic Eye, drum-type electric clock and forged aluminum wheels.

Inside, is a custom interior, trimmed in black and coated fabric. The front and rear bench seats, complete with fold-down center armrest, are in excellent order. The black mouton, or lambskin, carpet shimmers. The two-spoke steering wheel, black-and-white inner door panels and maroon metal dashboard look fantastic, the last part replaced with a Dakota Digital gauge system. There's a Kicker Bluetooth stereo hidden in the trunk, with controls on the transmission tunned and under-dash speakers.

Every Eldorado Fleetwood Brougham was delivered with a full vanity set, including metal drink tumblers and magnetic tray in the glove box, and many other luxury accessories, including an Evans leather-trimmed cigarette case and vanity kit containing a lipstick holder, ladies' powder puff with powder, comb, beveled mirror, coin holder, matching leather notebook, gold mechanical pencil and atomizer filled with Arpege Extrait De Lanvin perfume. There are even dual cupholders in front.
