1946 Ford Deluxe Woody Wagon, Flathead V8 Engine. A beautifully restored Woody Wagon Deluxe! Owned by a very good long-time client of ours, the vehicle is in great condition. The interior is stunning in every way, especially the interior roof which is all wood! body is straight and solid , the paint is finished in a Royal Blue and looks stunning in the sunlight, the engine compartment as seen in pics is very nice, all the chrome/stainless are good, glass is nice , The car utilizes a 12 Volt system with Alternator and starts right up every time, the car is always stored in a fully climate controlled garage located here in LA Jolla , CA . The 1946 is a highly desired year for the woody and very rare, everywhere it goes it demands tons of attention, is a total blast to drive and will bring some family a ton of enjoyment plus a lifetime of memories! My client was an active surfer in Southern California and well known to many of the popular surf clubs, he made very close friends along his travels, as you can see in the pics the vehicle does have several signatures 1 is Dick Dale the King of Surf Rock who did the popular surf song “Misirlou” and “Surf Beat” , its also signed by Jim Fuller of the Surfarias who was well known for their popular Surf Jam “Wipe Out” he was Good friends with these people, even had popular Big Wave Rider and Board shaper Greg Noll sign the door too, it’s a little worn down but we have other items signed directly to from Greg, so we know its him, at his 65th B-day party he had the Beach Boys play we think the worn off signatures is one of them but cannot confirm, two or three other signatures are on the back tail gate we have not confirmed who those belong to. The signatures are not verified but given his status and close ties to these individuals we are confident they are authentic.
The vehicle is equipped with flathead V8 2bbl carb and 3 on the tree transmission, we just spent over $8,000 dollars fixing the forint and rear brakes and cylinder, front suspension components, special era correct new shocks we kept as originally equipped which was double the cost of the modern kit, new carb, and fluids flushing. We have driven it to several shows since we’ve done this work and the car runs great and gets looks everywhere it goes. No disappointments here, It’s in Great Condition we have had our fun with it and its time to go, probably the best priced ’46 Woody on the market !!! Everyone says it’s a great buy !!!
