Midnight Motorsports is pleased to offer this STUNNING 1970 Plymouth Road Runner SUPERBIRD recreation. Power is provided by a replacement 440ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car features a black vinyl roof, Superbird-style graphics, 15' wheels, an AM radio, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system with Hedman headers. Recent work includes overhaul of the suspension, and steering systems as well as replacement of the distributor cap and rotor, ignition coil, transmission pan gasket, and engine oil.The prior owner indicated that the front fenders were replaced with steel units from a Dodge Coronet. A fiberglass nose cone, hood, fender scoops, and rear wing were sourced from Janak Repros and fitted before a repaint in Limelight Green in 2011. Weatherstripping is also said to have been replaced, and additional features include a black vinyl roof, chrome A-pillar covers, vent windows, a chrome rear bumper, and Superbird-style graphics. Rallye-style 15' wheels wear polished beauty rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted drum brakes at all four corners. The idler arm and pitman arm as well as the front ball joints and sway bar bushings were replaced in January 2023 along with the shocks at all four corners. The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in black vinyl with gray accents.Additional appointments include an AM radio along with black door panels, lap belts, and carpets. The three-spoke steering wheel wears a chrome horn ring with a Road Runner horn button. Instrumentation consists of a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline and an inset clock accompanied by a 150-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 32k of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown. The replacement 440ci V8 features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor topped with a Super Commando air cleaner housing. The distributor, rotor, ignition coil, and engine oil were replaced in January 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission, and the fluid and pan gasket were replaced in preparation for the sale. Hedman headers flow into a welded stainless-steel dual exhaust system with polished rectangular finishers. Electric exhaust cutouts have been added.
