GORGEOUS, PAN-OFF RESTORED, MATCHING # 1956 VOLKSWAGEN DE LUXE OVAL WINDOW BEETLE SEDAN READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!!
This amazing '56 Oval Window VW Beetle was a California car and was treated to a high end, pan-off restoration that was completed in 2016. There have only been about 400 miles put on it since the restoration and she truly looks amazing and drives fantastic. I have the original Volkswagen Birth Certificate for this car showing it was produced in August, 1955 and the documents show that the engine number matches making it a very desirable, rare, matching # classic Beetle.
The paint and body are beautiful. Body panel fit is outstanding and there are no signs of rust. The Birth Certificate indicates it was originally black but was treated to a beautiful Agate Gray Metallic finish which suits it perfectly. All of your chrome and stainless looks great. This is definitely a show-worthy classic that can also be driven and enjoyed.
Complimenting the Agate Gray exterior is an outstanding Red interior finished by West Coast Customs with the highest grade materials including the correct headliner material. Seats have a dark gray piping which looks awesome. Nice bamboo shelf under dash. Correct Tan German Square weave carpeting with removable rubber mats that reveal the rust free floor pans. A Retrosound stereo was installed in the original radio spot. The interior truly looks as good , if not better than new!
Powered by its original, matching # 1192 cc, 36 hp motor that was rebuilt, this Beetle really goes down the road nicely. Mated to a rancho performance 4-speed transmission that shifts beautifully and stopping power was upgraded with front disc brakes. This was a pan-off restoration and the chassis was powder coated black and the floorpans look great with no rust issues. Front trunk is nicely detailed with matching spare and a tool box. Body colored wheels with off-white accents wear VW emblem hubcaps.
You will be hard-pressed to find a Matching number '56 Oval Window Beetle this nice that you can get in and drive and enjoy the day it arrives to your driveway.
