Description:

This 1988 Ford Mustang GT convertible is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over Scarlet Red cloth upholstery. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, a red boot cover, 16? Pony alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, fog lights, a Panasonic CD head unit, and cruise control. The soft top and frame were replaced in preparation for the sale. This Fox-body Mustang GT convertible is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.

Interior:

The cabin features articulated front seats and a rear bench upholstered in Scarlet Red cloth. Amenities include a Panasonic CD head unit, power windows, cruise control, and power door locks. The air conditioning refrigerant was recharged in preparation for the sale. The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles and has rolled over. An April 2021 entry on the Carfax report notes the mileage as 109k.

Exterior:

The car is finished in red and features a replacement black convertible soft top, fog lights, GT-specific bodywork, a fixed antenna, and a red boot cover. The soft top and frame were replaced in preparation for the sale. Paintwork was performed on the quarter panels under previous ownership. Blemishes around the body are shown in the gallery.

Drivetrain:

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The 16? Pony alloy wheels are mounted with 225/55 Lancaster tires that show 2020 date codes. Standard equipment included a Handling Suspension Package featuring variable-rate springs and a Quadra-Shock rear setup along with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
