when the last 1996 Ford Bronco rolled off the line at Ford's
sprawling Michigan Truck Plant. The brand's original, two-door and
body-on-frame SUV ended production after five generations. This
1996 Ford Bronco XL 4x4 offered is one of those final-year models,
wearing original Pacific Green Clearcoat Metallic Paint with a
Medium Mocha cloth/ vinyl interior. The powertrain is the
comparatively rare 5.0-liter/five-speed manual combination, all of
which is in original condition. Powered by the base, 199-horsepower
5.0-liter OHV V8 engine and standard five-speed manual
transmission, this Bronco's powertrain is all-original. The engine
starts easily and runs well. Similarly, the five-speed gearbox
shifts smoothly and the transfer case has no issues. The included
Marti Report verifies original features and rarity of this Bronco.
Brand new BF Goodrich all terrain T/A Radials are on all 4 corners,
and wrap large polished aluminum wheels with locking hubs. A clean
tailgate finishes off our tour and is equipped with a power window.
A 302ci V8 fed by EFI lurks in the large engine bay with everything
looking nearly new without a spec of rust or dirt. A 5-speed manual
overdrive transmission is attached to the back and sends power to
the 3.55 geared rear axle when in 2-wheel drive mode and to both
the front and rear axles when 4x4 is engaged. Smooth acceleration,
good handling for a truck and plenty of comforts that work
perfectly and stops on a dime. With roughly 114,900 actual miles
this Bronco is well maintained exterior wise, and the interior is
like new. Plus cold air conditioning and plenty of safety features.
