Vehicle Description
1969 Sunbeam Alpine GT. I acquired this car a while back with the
hopes of bringing back to its old glory. Little history on these
cars: Made by Rootes in England, very limited number were imported
to the U.S. and it's built on the Arrow platform where the Hillman
Hunter was produced. Information is widely available on the web
about these cars. The last owner brought this car out of its 40
year hibernation and made it run, drive, stop and steer which took
a lot of effort since parts were not easy to get a hold of, before
buying the car I did my research and found reliable sources for
parts both in England and the U.S. as I didn't want to be stuck
without a good source for spares. Once I made sure that was covered
I made a deal with the seller, the previous owner was very upfront
about the car and fully disclosed everything it will need and I
took on the rest of the restoration, but in the midst of all that
life got in the way and the most I was able to do was change the
fluids and confirmed what I already knew about the car. It runs and
drives and I'm pretty much breaking even at this point, I would
consider the possibility of trades but not projects as I don't have
time due to my new job responsibilities. I will pass on the
information I gathered on sources for parts and many alternative
options readily available for factory replacement parts with cross
references. condition: good cylinders: 4 cylinders drive: rwd fuel:
