PRICE REDUCED! 165k OBO. Award winning 1934 Cadillac 355D convertible coupe in deep maroon with light tan leather interior, rumble seat and top. This is the Fisher series 20 with 136 inch wheelbase. It has the 353 cubic inch V-8 which makes around 130 horsepower. Only 30 of this body style were made for the 355D with maybe 4 or 5 left. Engine is the original, the engine number matches the stamping on the frame and on the Cadillac build sheet. It has the original 3-speed transmission which shifts very smoothly and a nice smooth clutch. It has 4 wheel mechanical brakes with vacuum assist. It has a ride control lever under the dash which adjusts all 4 shocks. New for 1934 is the X-frame chassis and independent front suspension which provided improved chassis strength and better driving dynamics. This car features the gorgeous bi-plane style bumpers which are only found on the 1934 Cadillac models. The 1934 355D is the pinnacle of Cadillac pre-war styling, the long hood, the slanted front grille, perfect proportions and the stylish dashboard make this (my opinion) the prettiest pre-war Cadillac ever built. This car was restored by California pre-war expert Alan Taylor in 2002 with very very little wear to show the 22 years since. The paint is truly stunning, 99% perfect, however there are two small cracks in the paint, maybe 3/4 inch long, adjacent to the rumble seat. Absolute pleasure to drive, everything works, even the clock and radio. The car comes with the factory build sheet, 250 restoration photos in a hardbound book. New boot cover, never been used and a quality felt lined car cover, plus the original owners manual. The previous owners kept a logbook showing every time the car was driven along with dates and miles from 2004 to 2019. $165000 or best offer.
