BMC VIN HBJ8L25814 was restored to order during the first half of
2010 by the British Motor Corp., Philadelphia, PA. At the time the
engine and drive train were rebuilt by Lorenzo's Automotive,
Langhorn, PA. The current odometer reading of just over 3k miles
reflects miles driven since the restoration. The exterior was
finished in Sikkens urethanes and block sanded/polished to a mirror
finish. Bright fittings (stainless and chrome plated) were either
re-chromed or purchased new. The interior was upholstered in tan
leather and the top and tonneau cover were done in tan Harrtz Stay
fast weather/UV resistant fabric. A California Motoring Accessories
custom car cover and original Shelly jack are included. To improve
handling the vehicle was fitted with 72 spoke chrome wire wheels
and 185 radial tires. The goal of the restoration was to have a
vehicle finished to a very high mechanical and visual standard but
meant to be driven daily and also to be taken to concourse events
locally. Hence, it is registered in Pennsylvania for everyday use
and not as an antique or classic. At the time of its restoration,
the car had to undergo an enhanced inspection for daily use, the
title is clean and clear.
