Vehicle Description
This custom 1966 Ford Mustang GT underwent a multi-year cosmetic
and mechanical refurbishment by Glazier's Mustang Barn of
Soudertown, PA, starting in 1993 and completed in 1996. Further
refurbishment was performed by JD's Auto Restoration Center of
Glenside, PA, in 2022 that involved rebuilding the 4-barrel
carburetor and cylinder heads, as well as replacing the clutch
assembly and dual exhaust system. The car is finished in Ivy Green
Metallic and is powered by a 289ci V8 engine equipped with a
4-barrel carburetor that was rebuilt in 1996. Power is sent to the
rear wheels through a T10 4-speed manual transmission. This Mustang
features GT-style side stripes and badging, as well as a black
vinyl roof, fog lights, AM radio, cabin heater and lap belts for
all four occupants. The flywheel was machined and the clutch
assembly was replaced in 2023. A replacement exhaust system was
installed in 2022. The car underwent bodywork and was fitted with
replacement fenders as part of the multi-year refurbishment in the
mid-1990s before being repainted in Ivy Green Metallic. It features
white GT-style lower body stripes as well as a GT-logo fuel cap and
badging. This Mustang also has faux quarter-panel vents and dual
exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. The 14-inch steel
wheels wear faux wire covers and are mounted with Diamond Back
Classic thin-whitewall tires. In 2022, work included adding Scott
Drake performance shocks and refurbishing the front disc and rear
drum brakes. The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in
black vinyl, which extends to the dash and door panels. The 3-spoke
steering wheel features a wood-grain rim and frames a central
120-mph speedometer flanked by fuel level, oil temperature,
amperage and coolant temperature gauges. Not actual miles indicated
on title.
