Vehicle Description
This custom frame-off Pro-Touring 1972 Chevrolet El Camino is
powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 GM crate engine producing 520hp.
Power is transferred by a 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission that
has been rebuilt using B&M Performance parts and is equipped
with a Painless Performance Perfect Torc digital control unit. The
engine is equipped with a GM Performance ECU control unit,
drive-by-wire, Texas Speed & Performance cam and an upgraded valve
train. It also has power steering and the engine bay is highly
detailed with all wiring, lines and hoses meticulously thought out
and placed. Putting the power to the wheels is a 12-bolt rear end
with 3.73 posi-traction gears. The hydro-boost-powered 4-wheel disc
brakes use a Wilwood 6-piston DynaPro Big Brake system with drilled
and slotted rotors. This custom El Camino sits on staggered 18- and
20-inch Billet-Specialties 450 B-Forged Touring Series 3-piece
wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo high-performance sport tires. The
boxed-in frame is fitted with upgraded suspension including drop
spindles, front adjustable upper and lower tubular control arms,
front and rear heavy-duty sway bars, adjustable stabilizer links,
rear tubular control arms, Eibach front and rear springs, Bilstein
front and rear shocks and heavy-duty transmission crossmember. The
custom flush-mounted, cut-through dual exhaust features Hooker
Super Competition headers and dual Flowmaster mufflers. The cooling
system uses a 4-core aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The
exterior is expertly finished in a one-of-a-kind paint job
completed with House of Kolor paint. The Silver and Emerald Green
Metallic exterior colors are separated by a marbleized stripe.
Custom exterior features include shaved parking lights, shaved
bumper bolts, shaved door handles with popper remotes, shaved
tailgate, custom pop-out billet gas filler, frenched-in roof
taillight, custom fabricated rear roll pan, custom-fabricated
swing-out tailgate, custom molded taillights, remote power bed-lift
storage area and custom-fabricated bed rails. Side-quarter windows
have been deleted and replaced with One Piece Products side glass
windows to give an open and modern look. The interior features a
push-button start ignition with LED ring light, Dakota Digital
gauges, Vintage Air system with R134a, leather-wrapped billet
aluminum steering wheel with tilt, high-back bucket seats, RJS
5-point harness seat belts, custom center console with aluminum cup
holders, B&M shifter, Sony stereo with Bluetooth, remote mirror
and a digital transmission torque control unit located in the glove
box.
