The exterior was resprayed in Land Rover Brooklands Green (paint code 334 HUX) which included a full tear down, new safari half doors, rear tailgate, hinges, handles, and latches. A skilled craftsman completed the interior tan leather seating; easily identifiable by the stitch work. We did a complete mechanical review consisting of several big ticket items. A complete rebuilt engine was sourced from Turner Engineering, new clutch, rebuilt axles, fully rebuilt transfer box, and LED lighting upgrades to name a few. The Yokohama Geolander MT tires and bronze Method wheels set off the exterior/interior color combination and full open top. Need a top? We have several options to choose from!Factory built with the solid and reliable 300TDI 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine and R380 5 Speed manual transmission. Now with a rebuilt engine ready for another 30 years! The 300TDI diesel engine runs smooth and currently has the 500 break-in miles completed, oil change, and valve adjustment. The new clutch feels great and the 5-Speed R380 manual transmission shifts correctly through the gears. The previous owner kept this Defender in great condition, and it was an excellent dry climate base for a tear down respray and mechanical overhaul.We completed a mechanical review and the Defender is now well-sorted after an extensive mount of time in our shop. Additional maintenance not covered above includes springs, shocks, alignment, steering rods, boost pin, boost controller, A-frame ball joint, steering gear box, power steering hoses, power steering pump, and valve adjustment.
