Classic Car Addict is excited to present this 1968 wide body Ford
J-code Mustang for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The
first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March
1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new
class of vehicles known as pony cars. The styling, with its long
hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a ton of
competition.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat trimmed
in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets,
and aluminum door panels. The roof features the J-code upgrades for
the overhead wood finished console with working MAP lights. The
wood trim also carries down to the instrument panel that shows the
original 120 mph speedometer, a shared fuel/alternator gauge, oil
pressure, and temperature gauge. Mounted to the dash are Auto Gauge
oil and volt and an EQUUS temp gauge. It also features a B&M
shifter, MSD 6AL electronic ignition, and a Grant steering
wheel.
The exterior is finished in Wimbledon White with blue decals. This
is a great paint project vehicle as the current paint isn't in the
best shape. You can see from the photos that there is cracking in
the paint, but what great bones to sand down, prime and repaint it!
The wide body is in great shape as well. There is a little service
rust, but no rot or deterioration. Most of the pieces for the
window trim are in the trunk of the Mustang, see our YouTube video
for information on that as well.
Under the hood it features a 302 V8 with aluminum radiator, MSD
ignition, Ford Racing valve covers, Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, performer RPM intake, Hooker long tube headers, and
front disc brakes. We have the C4 transmission with a seven-blade
aluminum fan. One bonus for some, this Mustang has locking hood
pins as well.
If you want a slight project car, look no further. The bones of
this Mustang are great, the interior is great, just needs some TLC
on the paint! Give Classic Car Addict a call today at 480-256-1459.
Please watch the full walkaround and driving video directly on our
YouTube channel under Classic Car Addict LLC. We offer financing
and fully enclosed shipping to your door. And we welcome all
purchasers to have a pre-purchase inspection done before purchasing
as these are sold AS IS.
