For Sale: 1970 Lancia Fulvia in San Francisco, California

Vehicle Description

This 1973 Lancia Fulvia 1.3S was delivered new in Italy and spent time in the United Kingdom before being imported to the United States in 2016. It is powered by a 1.3-liter V4 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and it is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 14″ steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, quad headlights, a hood scoop, chrome bumpers, a wood-trimmed dashboard, a heater, and Jaeger instrumentation. The seller acquired the car in 2018, and service in 2023 involved rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs, and changing the oil. This Series II Fulvia Coupé is now offered with a Lancia Classiche Certificato di Origine, service records, a tool kit, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory in Rosso Corsa (23) and was refinished in Italy. Equipment includes quad headlights, a hood scoop, quarter vent windows, chrome front and rear bumpers, a left-side mirror, and a single-exit exhaust. The seller notes a paint chip was touched up on the left-front quarter panel.

Steel 14″ wheels wear Lancia-branded center caps and are mounted with 165-series Pirelli Cinturato tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. An inspection in July 2023 notes all four CV boots are cracking.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with color-coordinated door panels. Wood trim accents the dashboard, and equipment includes a heater, a locking glove box, crank windows, and custom carpeted floor mats. The analog clock does not work.

The two-spoke wood-rim steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation including a 200-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 24k kilometers (~15k miles), approximately 4,900 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. Wear is visible on the steering wheel.

The 1.3-liter narrow-angle V4 features dual Solex side-draft carburetors. Service in 2020 included replacing the voltage regulator and rebuilding the alternator. Service in July 2023 included rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs, and changing the oil. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. A July 2023 inspection notes the muffler is cracked and the muffler hangars are worn.

A copy of the Lancia Classiche Certificato di Origine is included in the sale along with service records and a tool kit.
