The Toronado was introduced in 1966 as the first full-sized American front-wheel-drive car since the Cord 812 in 1937. The Toronado created a sensation.
Sold new in Indiana in 1966 to the father of the current owner. Always regularly maintained. Always garaged. Odometer shows 108,000 miles (an average of just 1,862 miles per year since 1966.)
One repaint in correct "Forest Mist Metallic" green (paint code "JJ"). Presents well. No accidents or damage. Excellent panel fit. doors close easily. Original chrome plating in very good condition. Original glass and seals. Original Fawn Beige vinyl upholstery in very good condition. No rips or tears. Overall very good driver condition throughout. NO RUST OUT. Following the passing of the original owner 5 years ago, the car was shipped to his son in Alaska where it saw very limited use. Since that time it has received a full rebuild of the Turbo Hydramatic transmission, power brake system rebuild and new radial tires. Modern analog gauges were added under the dashboard for accurate readings of the oil pressure, water temperature and electrical amperage. Carpeting replaced. Car was always garaged while in Alaska and recently the owner moved to Oregon with the car and is now offering it for sale.

The original 425 cubic inch high-compression (10.5:1) Toronado V8 engine produces 385 horsepower. Starts easily, runs smoothly with plenty of power and acceleration. Transmission shifts smoothly. Brakes stop quick and straight. A real pleasure to drive with factory power steering. The barrel-style speedometer registers accurately. Factory AM radio. Factory air conditioning should be recharged. Includes spare wheel/tire (with hubcap) and jack in the trunk. All lights work, including the retractable headlights. Excellent original Toronado hubcaps. A nice package throughout.
