Vehicle Description
This 1960 Chevrolet Apache K10 half-ton pickup had a complete
restoration a few years ago. Under the hood is the factory-correct
date-coded 6-cylinder engine, which was totally rebuilt in the
restoration. The restoration also included other mechanical
components, including the complete braking system, suspension and
electrical. The frame was also completely stripped and refinished.
It features an all-new hardwood bed floor, fabricated and finished
back to exactly the way it would have looked when it rolled off the
assembly line. This truck is rolling on correct-style BFGoodrich
off-road tires fitted on the original locking hub wheels. GM's
truck line was all-new for 1960 and featured an entirely new body
design, new dropped ladder frame, a larger and more modern interior
and - for the first time - 4-wheel drive offered as optional
equipment direct from the factory. However, depending on
configuration, the 4x4 option added as much as 47% to the base
MSRP, so just 16% of Chevy trucks were delivered new from the
factory with 4-wheel drive for 1960. Included with purchase is a
comprehensive file of receipts, a restoration photo album, a rare
original 1960 visor holder, original sales brochures, original
sales invoice, license plates and owner's manual.
