Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to offer you this very cool 1957
Chevrolet 210 Station Wagon. This icon of the 50s is a very unique
combination of rustic and modern with new gleaming chrome
contrasted by a roughly painted patina-style body. The blue
metallic body and silver top appear to have been repainted long
ago, but the color combo still grabs your attention. The swirls,
checking, scrapes, dings, and rust tell the tale of a 67-year-old
vehicle that's seen one heck of a lot in its life, while the
gorgeous new brightwork and fresh interior with A/C serve as a
reminder of its showroom beauty and comfort when new. All of the
coolest tri-five features are present - hood rockets, bumper
bullets, the brightly colored grille crest, big bumpers,
chrome-tipped rear fins, and hidden gas fill. Being a station wagon
made for hauling, this 210 is outfitted with a roof rack as well as
a tow hitch receiver. The whole appearance of this car is taken up
a notch by a set of bright chrome 5-spoke Jegs wheels with Cooper
Endeavour Plus tires that accentuate its stance.
Under the hood, you'll find an older small-block Chevy V-8 that's
mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission - a
perfect combination for any type of cruising. The V-8 is topped
with a 4-barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, black valve covers,
and a chrome air cleaner. There is a new Champion aluminum radiator
with an electric pusher fan to keep things cool under the hood and
a Sanden A/C compressor that keeps things cool in the cabin.
Exhaust flows through cast manifolds, glass-pack style mufflers,
and out-of-chrome tips to produce an awesome-sounding rumble. While
the brakes are manual, they have been upgraded to discs on the
front with a dual reservoir and proportioning valve added.
When you open the driver's door you're greeted by a freshly redone
interior illuminated by a very bright LED dome and underdash
courtesy lights. While not original in style, the new blue and grey
interior looks great and is in keeping with the exterior color
palette. The grey cloth and blue vinyl bench seats are as
comfortable as they are good-looking. The same color and material
theme is repeated on the door panels for a cohesive overall look.
Underfoot is nice, new blue carpeting, and overhead is a tight grey
felt headliner. The original-style dash has been painted blue to
match the interior and a modern, retro-style, aftermarket gauge
cluster has been installed - an awesome upgrade! The new gauges
light up blue (with blue sweeps too!) and include temp, oil, fuel,
and volts as well as a speedometer and tachometer. The gauges have
a digital display section that offers a trip odometer, 0-60 timer,
mile timer, high-speed recorder, clock, and a digital tachometer.
Ahead of the driver is a blue and black 3-spoke MPI steering wheel
and a column shifter that matches the 4-speed OD transmission. The
steering wheel lacks a horn button, but one has been installed
under the dash to the driver's left. It should be noted that there
is no turn signal lever present, rendering them inoperable. A
Retrosound-style AM/FM/Cassette stereo is there to play your
favorite cruising music through speakers located in the front kick
panels. The climate controls work as they should and the cold A/C
blows through small vents on each side and a larger one in the
center. Back in the rear cargo area is a new grey carpet and blue
vinyl trim on the side walls.
Show-quality tri-five wagons go for big bucks in today's market,
but this wagon offers all the same cruisin and car show fun at a
fraction of the cost - and you don't have to be afraid to drive it
anywhere! It has a cool style and personality that turns heads
wherever it goes. With all-new chrome, new interior, A/C, upgraded
gauges, front disc brakes, and a 4-speed automatic OD transmission
- this 210 checks a ton of boxes for its price point! Give us a
call today and be the lucky one who gets to call it their own!
