For Sale: 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in Lehi, Utah

Vehicle Description

If you are in the market for a classic muscle car, you will not be disappointed with this car.  This is a 1971 Ford Mustang Mach-1 with Sportsroof.  Most of the restoration work was done by the person who owned the car before me.  I believe the restoration was done in about 2012.  For its age, this car is in excellent condition. The car has a great color combination, pewter gray with black trim and accents and chrome trim. This car looks super cool and runs and drives great and is fast.

I just had new tires installed 1/15/2025.

The engine was rebuilt by the prior owner.  To the best of my knowledge and belief (based on the information provided to me by the person I bought the car from), the engine is a performance built 351 Cleveland M Code engine, bored and stroked to 408 CID, with a Scat crankshaft and I-Beam Rods. It has a Quick Fuel 4 Barrel Carburetor, ceramic coated headers, Edelbrock intake manifold, and power steering. Billet transmission, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator, smoothed and painted engine bay matching the exterior paint. It has a rebuilt automatic transmission, and lots of billet and chrome components.

In 2023, I had a local mechanic install Wilwood disc brakes on all 4 wheels. The car has nice Ridler Wheels, and I had brand-new tires installed 1/15/2025.

The exterior has Mach-1 trim, chrome trim around wheel wells, chrome bumpers, black front lip spoiler, gloss black rear spoiler, and black rear window louvers. The hood has gloss black center.

Interior is in good condition and appears to be restored Mach-1 correct. Undercarriage is in good condition.

Known Flaws: There is a slow draw on the power from the battery when the car is turned off. I've had a mechanic look into it and we think the issue is the aftermarket stereo. So we have disconnected the stereo. However, the battery also has a battery power shutoff switch, which can be used to avoid the battery drain.  Also, the windows and trunk do not seal completely and so when the car is washed some water leaks into the interior/trunk. I believe this is common with older cars. Also, there are small scratches on the paint in various locations on the car.  I have posted pictures of the scratches/flaws. They are the last several pictures included in this listing.

I have owned this car since May of 2022. I have enjoyed this car. I hate to see it go. I am only selling it to free up some cash.
