1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray LT1
Car History
It isn't very often that collectors get a chance to buy an original
numbers matching and restored LT1 1971 Corvette. but that is what
we have here at Adventure Classics today.
It is a very nice 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray LT1 Coupe in
Steel Cities Grey paint, LT1 350 cubic inch engine, and a #400
Black interior, with a 4-speed transmission as well.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 1971 Corvette Stingray has the iconic numbers matching solid
lifter small block 350 cubic inch LT1 engine which had boasted 330
horsepower, four-barrel carb, aluminum high rise intake, correct
Chevy Orange paint on the block and heads, original air cleaner
with chrome lid, great looking performance spark plug wires,
aluminum finned valve covers, chrome ignition shielding, cast iron
exhaust manifolds, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, and all
sitting in a period correct, painted, and detailed engine
compartment.
It is by far the one of most tractable small block engines that
Corvette ever made and it idles smoothly with the 4-speed
transmission, but from outside the car there's still that rumble to
let any and all know this is solid-lift small block.
The dual exhausts emit a nice note and the gearing assures restful
freeway cruising. It also assures acceleration times with a top
speed of over 140 mph.
It rides on the steel factory Rally wheels with chrome center caps
and trim rings and wears Cooper Cobra Classic Radial GT raised
white letter tires and the fully-independent sports suspension
rides and tracks well.
Interior
The nice as new looking black interior (confirmed by the Trim Tag
code #400) is in excellent condition, the T-tops never go out of
style, the black carpets are great, as are the door panels.
It has AM/FM stereo radio, fiber-optic bulb indicators in the
console, a 4-speed manual shifter in the center console, black
Corvette steering wheel, dual pod speedometer/tachometer with a
full gauge package, seatbelts, floor mats, great side rocker
panels.
Exterior
Our 1971 Corvette comes re-painted in Steel Cities Grey paint and
looks great from all angles with its long, raised LT1 hood, great
chrome and trim, shark-like front bumper, two-piece rear bumper,
rocker panels, window trim, and fender grilles.
The entire car, body, engine, interior, chrome trim, Corvette
badging, LT1 decals on the hood, dual chrome exhaust tips, and
chrome luggage rack looks as new!
