Cruisin Classics is pleased to be offering to you today this 1985
Chevrolet C20 Silverado. This long-bed square-body comes to us with
only 57,964 actual miles on the odometer - for a diesel, it's
barely past being broken in! This ton Chevy is dressed in a
presentable driver-quality grey metallic paint job that we believe
is an older respray. The rust-free body features white
pin-striping, body side molding, wheel lip molding, drip rail
molding, quad rectangular headlights, a bright chrome front bumper,
and a black chin spoiler. Both sides of the truck are outfitted
with side mirrors, separate gas tanks, and diamond-plated running
boards that tie in with the diamond-plated top of the rear bumper.
Atop the cab you'll find orange running lights (a factory option)
and atop the rust-free bed is a removable truck cap dressed in a
slightly lighter shade of grey than the body, providing a nice
contrast. Around the back are wrap-around tail lights, rear mud
flaps, dual exhaust exits, and a tow hitch receiver. The truck sits
atop 8-lug chrome wheels with Pathfinder Trail A/P tires in the
front and thick tread BF Goodrich Radial Mud-Terrain T/A's in the
rear for some extra grip.
Under the hood is a 379ci 6.2 liter Detroit Deisel V-8 that has a
lifetime of reliable operation still ahead of it. The engine bay
itself appears mostly stock with dual batteries, power steering,
power brakes (disc/drum), and an A/C system that is complete and
hooked up but non-operational. The V-8 is mated up to a 4-speed
automatic overdrive transmission that's perfect for daily driving
or a long-distance trip.
The interior of the cab is in great condition for an almost
40-year-old vehicle. The maroon bench seat is incredibly
comfortable and shows no signs of wear. Both door panels look
original and feature power windows and locks. The passenger window
does have a small issue, as it only goes down halfway. The
crack-free maroon dash is home to gauges for oil, temp, battery,
and fuel as well as an 85mph speedometer. There is a switch on the
dash to change gas tanks and a toggle beneath the dash for an
overhead light on the rear truck cap. The leather-wrapped steering
wheel is attached to a tilt column that also offers cruise control
and intermittent wipers. The climate controls work as they should
with the exception of the A/C. A nice-sounding Sanyo AM/FM/Cassette
stereo offers you some cruisin' tunes. Underfoot you'll find plush
maroon carpet and matching floormats in excellent condition while
overhead is a cool tufted fabric headliner. Other interior extras
include an original owner's manual in the glovebox, a fire
extinguisher, a working dome light, and a trailer brake lever to
the driver's left.
If you're on the hunt for a square-body Chevy truck, this C-10
Silverado offers tons of "bang for the buck" with low mileage, a
bullet-proof 6.2-liter diesel engine, a nice truck cap, a rust-free
body, and a gorgeous comfortable interior! Give us a call today,
this truck surely won't be here for long!
