The Chevrolet Corvette C5, recognized as Motor Trend's 'Car of the
Year' in 1998, represented a significant leap forward in terms of
design, performance and technology for the iconic American sports
car. The C5 was the first Corvette to feature a hydroformed frame,
which improved rigidity and handling compared to previous models.
It also introduced a new rear-mounted transaxle for better weight
distribution and performance. This 1998 Corvette roadster is a very
nice, mostly original example of the C5. The factory Artic White
paint has been well maintained and is in very good condition.
Eptyrest performance radials are mounted on factory 5-spoke alloy
wheels (17f/18r"). The removable custom hardtop includes a storage
rack and the roadster's manual convertible top, also in very good
condition, tucks easily into the boot. The Light Oak interior was
restored in 2023 and is in very good condition. Corvette C5
equipment includes climate control A/C, power tinted windows, power
seats, tilt wheel, power locks and keyless entry. Other features
include cruise, dual airbags, security system and premium Bose
AM/FM/Cassette/CD-Changer sound system. The Corvette C5 drivetrain
is based on the GM aluminum 5.7L LS1. This powerful 10:1
compression engine produces 345 BHP @5600 RPM with Sequential
Multi-Port Injection System (MPI). Torque is delivered through an
automatic four-speed/OD rear transaxle. This combination delivers
excellent highway mileage. The chassis, based on the revolutionary
C5 backbone design, is equipped with power steering, 4-wheel ABS
power disc brakes and traction control. This Corvette is an
outstanding C5 model - take it home and enjoy the ride. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
