When it comes to legendary American icons, the Jeep CJ7 is about as
patriotic as apple pie. The model line began all the way back in
1944 and went right up until this 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo, and all its
siblings rolled off the assembly line, to finish off forty-two
years of American history. Fully repainted in black, highlighted by
eye-catching copper-colored Laredo logos and decals. Inside, we
find a classic Jeep interior covered in honey-colored vinyl and
cloth. The utilitarian analog gauges are offset by a modern
Bluetooth AM/FM radio with an aux input.
Under the hood, we find a 4.2-liter (258 cubic-inch) inline-six
that routes its power through a tried-and-true four-speed manual
transmission. Newer shocks and a steering stabilizer work in
conjunction with its leaf spring and shock front and rear
suspension, riding high on big 31-inch BFGoodrich tires. Hiding
behind those big meats are a set of front disc brakes and rear
drums, while the manual locking front hubs make this truck about as
unstoppable as a tank.

This 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo exudes pride and attitude from every
angle. Restored inside and out, this off-road monster is ready to
provide open-air driving over dunes at the beach or along the trail
to that formally undiscovered fishing hole. This was the very last
year of the venerable CJ7, and if you missed it the first time
around, here is the second chance you've been waiting for. Call
