Vehicle Description
1947 Dodge Pickup
This 1947 Dodge Brothers Truck has risen to the top. This is a true
one-off build featuring numerous exterior and interior design
distinctions. The end result is truly stunning. The extensive
frame-off build has given us probably one of the most beautiful
trucks I've ever seen in my life!
This is an impressive build that maintains the classic look of the
'47 Dodge. The cab has been extended 6 inches giving the cab more
leg room. The bed has been shortened 6 inches keeping the visual
dominations correct. The custom frame is made from 3/16" wall
rectangular tubing. The front end is a Fatman Independent
suspension, and the rear is custom 4-link with coil over shocks.
The suspension is done in polished stainless steel.
The '47 paint color was critical to be rich and elegant and
eliminate the standard red used on most trucks in favor of a
Metallic Scarlet Sage. Keeping the fenders and running boards black
this was obviously the perfect choice. The interior is done in a
charcoal grey cloth that's a beautiful contrast. The cab keeps the
tilt out front window. The power drivers side bucket seat and
passenger side have 4-point harness. The cab is fitted with a roll
bar that is neatly tucked behind the seats out of the way. The dash
has a full array of up-to-date technology gauges by Auto Meter.
This baby is loaded with power door locks, power steering, heat,
defrost, and yes AC by Vintage Air! A Flaming River tilt steering
and the classic look of a Lokar shifter.
No lack of power with a 6.1L HEMI built with a Comp Cam, MSD
Ignition, and Indy intake manifold. Plus, 2-4-barrel Edelbrock
carburetors. The approximate horse power is 488 HP! Power to the
ground is thanks to a 3-speed automatic trans with a 2400 stall
converter. A Moser rear end and a Dana 60 with 3:70 Posi-traction.
The great growl is from 2.5" dual exhaust with Magna Flow mufflers.
Stopping is no problem with 4-wheel disc brakes. Has an 18 gallon
custom aluminum fuel tank. Riding on Mickey Thompson 26x8R15LT and
29x15COR15LT's. Keeping to the classic truck look and feel custom
made all steel rims with center caps. The build has only 1686
miles!
The '47 Dodge is nicely camouflage the modern HEMI engine. This
beauty is ready to start racking up honors at every stop. Plan to
go home with Best Custom Truck awards.
This unique truck could be in your garage for $66,000.00!
