and preserved in climate-controlled storage, this 4,918-mile 7-Up
Edition 1990 Mustang convertible is one of only 4,103 produced in
one of the more unusual and lesser-known stories from the Mustang's
59-year history. Ford created the uniquely green Mustangs as
giveaway vehicles for a 7-Up Bottling Company promotion during the
NCAA basketball finals in Denver. However, at the last minute and
for reasons unknown, the promotion was canceled. Instead of
abandoning the concept, Ford chose to produce a limited-edition
Mustang model, which not only served to protect the company's
design investment but also satisfied enthusiasts' demand for a
special edition to commemorate the Mustang's 25th anniversary.
Although not officially a 25th anniversary model, the convertibles
became known as the 7-Up 25th Anniversary Editions. All were Deep
Emerald Green with white leather interiors, white convertible tops,
GT "turbine" wheels and 5.0L/225 HP High Output V-8s. Unlike
standard LX models with black trim, the wraparound side moldings
and mirrors were painted body color. This low-mileage and
well-preserved 1990 7-Up convertible is equipped with an AOD
automatic transmission, Traction-Lok differential, air
conditioning, power rack-and-pinion steering and power brakes. It
also comes with the original books, manuals. As always, we will
consider all types of trades. Financing and transportation are
available. Why buy from us? We are one of the oldest and largest
midwest dealers who specializes in collector cars, modern muscle
cars and imports. We normally have 40-90 collector cars in stock.
All of our cars are handpicked purchases, not consignments, that
have been evaluated for quality, value and checked over in our shop
to assure drivability. These cars are available to look over, test
drive and evaluate at our location, by appointment only, due to the
extensive amount of travel it takes to find these vehicles. People
frequently buy collector cars at auctions and have no idea what
they are getting, often regretting the purchase due to issues of
condition, driveability, paperwork, etc . We have 40+ year's
experience in the automotive industry and can guide our customers
through the complete purchase experience including shipping if
needed. We will happily consider all types of trades including
multiple trades of different types if necessary. We also will
purchase restored cars and restored collections of cars. No
projects wanted. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any
questions regarding a vehicle we have for sale or a vehicle you
have for sale. 319-366-7600
