Vehicle Description
Unique, nearly-original survivor cars are very special, and they're
very hard to find. That's especially true for a car like this, an
absolutely jaw-dropping 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass with only 39,672
original miles on the odometer. Oldsmobile's legendary Cutlass is
one of the best examples of GM's muscle car glory days, with their
characteristic low profile, wide stance, and flowing bodylines.
This Cutlass is one of the most original we have had the pleasure
of having on the lot in quite some time, with a fully
numbers-matching powertrain and original equipment to match.
Popping open the hood reveals an authentic, numbers-matching 350
C.I. V8 breathing through a 2-barrel carburetor, sitting inside an
engine bay so genuine it still has the factory chalk markings. The
exterior's laser-straight bodylines are covered in the correct
color scheme this Cutlass came with from the factory, 75-code
"Matador Red" that still looks fantastic! That red hue is accented
by gorgeous chrome brightwork, which has a fantastic shine. In
addition, the floors, frame rails, trunk, and door jambs are all
very solid and in great shape. Actually, the trunk still has the
original trunk sparkle! Opening the twin doors reveals a
near-perfect original black vinyl interior, complete with comfy
textured bench seats and plenty of woodgrain trim for that
authentic '70s vibe. In fact, the original gauges and AM pushbutton
radio are still in the dashboard! Options on this fabulous Cutlass
include power steering, power brakes, a power trunk release,
original gauges, an original AM pushbutton radio, a driver's-side
chrome mirror, and vent windows. The car rides on a striking set of
15" color-matched wheels with chrome dog-dish hubcaps over Cooper
Cobra RWL tires for a factory-fresh look straight out of a 1971
Oldsmobile advertisement! The minute you're behind the wheel you
realize how well this '71 Cutlass runs and drives, just as it
should considering the milage on the odometer. These types of
survivor cars are very hard to come by, and this specific '71
Cutlass is a special car indeed. It's on the showroom floor looking
for its next owner, and we think it'd look great in your
driveway.
