1996 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe
Car History
One of the coolest special editions ever made was the 1996 Grand
Sport Corvette like we have here at Adventure Classics. They were
limited to just 1000 models and we believe it was the best-looking
C4 ever built.
It has a high degree of collectability, and it is a collector
Corvette that keeps rising in value.

Engine & Drivetrain
Grand Sports used the final version of the iconic small block Chevy
V8, the LT4. It had a hotter cam, higher compression, revised
engine mapping with 40 more horsepower over the standard LT1, has a
6-speed manual gearbox, red intake manifold, A/C, factory air
filter assembly, FE1 suspension, massive disc brakes, with black
sidewall performance tires on those black wide factory wheels.
It looks mostly factory stock as it sits in a clean and detailed
looking engine compartment and handles superb with the fully
independent suspension.
Interior
The black interior in this coupe has great grippy and supportive
bucket seats and are upholstered in leather, has a combination
digital/analog instrument panel, 6-speed manual gearbox shifter,
Preferred Equipment Group #1 with electronic climate control, power
driver's seat, and a Delco/Bose sound system.
It is a well-presented interior loaded with keyless entry, power
locks, power windows, power seats, air conditioning, tilt steering
column, cruise control, and an AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo with
speakers by Bose.
Exterior
The Grand Sport is painted in Admiral Blue with white stripe and
red hash marks on the front fenders which looks similar to the '60s
Grand Sport 'Vettes that were driven by Zora Arkus-Duntov.
The bodywork was completely stock on the Grand Sport with fender
flares over the rear wheels which permit the use of larger ZR-1
sized tires on the coupes and the Grand Sport badges, with it
soundings as good as it looks with rectangular tips coming out the
back too.
Conclusion
The 1996 Chevrolet Grand Sport Corvette Coupe we have here at
Adventure Classics is a Corvette classic, with performance and
handling you can enjoy today and also feel confident that it will
give you that feeling for a long time to come.
