1971 Skylark Custom, by Buick.
Same body style as a 1970 Chevelle, right down to the twin headlights. But with refined character lines, and the higher torque Buick 350 V-8 (4 bbl in this case, rated at 360 ft. lbs.). All that for a lower price today than a Chevelle. A TH350 automatic transmission and the stronger Buick 8.5" 10 bolt posi axel round out the original drive line. Original A/C car (pump removed) with power steering and power disc/drum brakes.
This car isn't Concourse perfect, there are minor cosmetic issues similar to cars in this price range. But it's very clean and straight, and presents quite well. No surprising or hidden rust/bondo issues here. More like 10 years old not 50! The original interior is in great condition, the OEM and aftermarket gages and switches work, even the AM radio still crackles to life. The exterior paint really pops in person, along with the newer vinyl top in factory color. All the chrome/trim looks good inside and out. The wheels are really special, they are vintage Ansen Top Eliminator 5 spoke, made in California.
UPGRADES: Suspension - Progressive rate Moog springs and Edelbrock tubular 4 bars locate the rear. Stiffer rate UMI Performance lowering springs and Proforged taller ball joints are up front, along with a Helwig tubular sway bar and links. A mix of polymer and rubber bushings all around provide better handling control, while avoiding excess harshness and squeaks. This suspension is well thought out, you will feel the difference.
Electrical - Solid state relays for the Pertronix ignition, the cooling fan, and the horns. Car comes with new in box spare Pertronix too.
Brakes - Dual diaphragm booster with Willwood master cylinder, adjustable proportioning valve, and residual pressure valve. These brakes are miles ahead of OEM, much stronger.
Exhaust - A throaty 2.5" full dual exhaust with H-pipe and Dynomax mufflers, sounds awesome, no droning harmonics, all thumbs up!
