For Sale at Auction: 1961 Renault 4CV in West Palm Beach, Florida
This 1961 Renault 4CV Beach Wagon Resort Special is powered by a
747cc inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual
transmission. This is one of 50 4CVs that were built for export to
the U.S. and Caribbean. The 4CV was originally ordered from France
into the port of Jacksonville, FL, on September 27, 1961, for the
U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas. The car has been owned by a Vero
Beach, FL, family for 40 years. The 4CV was restored 10 years ago
and still has the original wicker seats. A letter of authenticity
and VIN verification from Renault production comes with the sale.
The VIN indicates it was among the lot of 50 4CVs produced by
Renault on September 11, 1959, but it wasn't titled in the U.S.
until 1961.
