Vehicle Description
This authentic 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Greenwood Daytona Turbo,
Daytona Turbo No. 2, has been on display in the National Corvette
Museum in Bowling Green, KY. It's powered by a turbocharged 350ci
V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. This Corvette is gear
driven with a 5-link rear suspension adjustable to the track for
best performance. It has BBS racing wheels, as well as removable
Kevlar cooling shields that cool the brakes. The custom body panels
are all calculated for best driving performance. The front
suspension has been modified by John Greenwood, as was the 5-link
rear suspension, a John Greenwood original. The rear hatch was
specially designed for the curvature of the body, and it opens.
Interior features include a 165-mph speedometer, air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, power steering, power brakes, a
tilt/telescoping steering column, power mirrors, power seats,
cruise control, blue mirror-glass T-Tops and a hidden roll bar. The
dash was signed by John Greenwood and the extra air cleaner cover
was signed by Burt Greenwood and Zora Arkus-Duntov. 26,606 actual
