First, I have been a private classic car collector for 41 years here in South Florida and during this time have had in excess of 250 classics. I have owned 4 '58 Edsels, 1 '59 and another 1960, a 2 Door HT. Just a point to make sure any prospective buyer knows that I am quite knowledgeable with classic cars and can give an accurate description to any interested party. Since last year I have been selling off all of my collection. I have just 6 left including this Edsel. This car is a very well done clone with documentation back to its conversion. The car is well known by Phil Skinner, the most knowledgeable Edsel expert anywhere, in the opinion of many Edsel aficionados. VIN is: 0U12W702058. It is titled as a 1960 Edsel Ranger. I have found no visible signs on the body of the conversion-it was really well done. Unless you are a true expert of the '60 Edsel convertible, of which only 76 were built, the body matches the original in all details. The color is seafoam Green,a very soft Green color and an original '60 Edsel color. The interior was done to the '60 Edsel Convertible design in Green and Silver as an original would have been. Before I purchased the car, in South Florida, it was always a dry Western car.The car has never had ANY rust in the past or the present. This Edsel, as all my other cars, has been professionally maintained. The engine was tuned last month with all necessary parts being replaced. I put new Radial wide white tires on the car last year. The 292 Cu In V8, two barrel carb with dual exhaust runs smoothly and quietly with no issues. The engine temperature gauge stays right in the middle. The Power Steering is really sweet and the transmission shifts just as it should. The brakes do not pull when stopping and the pedal feels correct. The power top works as designed and the boot fits tightly. The original chrome is excellent with the lightest of pitting due to its long life in the dry west.
