Vehicle Description
9048 original miles. One of 250 25th Anniversary convertibles
built. 100% stock and unmodified. Clean CarFax. Properly maintained
(with receipts) and well documented. A cool convertible that's fast
and comfortable, with an awesome pedigree behind it.To celebrate
the 25th anniversary of the Trans Am, Pontiac stuck to the same
formula: a white car with blue stripes and a ton of performance. Of
the 2025 Anniversary cars built in 1994, only 250 of them were
convertibles and they were all pretty much identical (the automatic
was the only transmission available and you had only the choice of
a CD player or cassette deck). This particular 1994 Pontiac Trans
Am 25th Anniversary convertible shows just 9048 original miles, and
no, that's not a misprint. It has always been treated as a special
car, which means no winter weather (I don't even think it's been
wet), no daily driving, and always garaged and protected. That's
exactly the kind of car you want to own, because it has been babied
all its life. The Arctic White paint gleams in the sun and the
bright blue stripes practically leap off the surface of the
newly-redesigned Trans Am. Subtle 25th Anniversary graphics on the
doors are unlike Pontiac (you might recall the 30th anniversary
models with blue wheels) and the car hasn't aged like many of its
contemporaries. It still looks cool. The paint is virtually
unmarked, the glass is excellent, and all the plastic lenses are
like new. Even the headlights pop up and down with enthusiasm.
Someone really cared for this car.The white leather interior was
your only choice in the Anniversary model, and the combination of
white upholstery with charcoal gray accents works rather well.
Again, a subtle 25th logo is embroidered on the seats and door
panels, but it's far from the usual gaudiness that Pontiac seemed
to prefer. Of course, you also get the inherent goodness of the
F-body built right in, which includes extremely comfortable seats,
a fat steering wheel, big analog gauges, and a long list of
standard features. Everything works, including the A/C, along with
the other goodies like power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise
control, and a great-sounding AM/FM/CD stereo system. The leather
seats are in very good condition, showing only minor signs of use
over the past 30 years (has it been that long already?) and there's
exactly zero evidence that this car ever sat outside because the
weather seals are supple and the carpets are unmarked. Overhead
there's a white power convertible top with a full headliner that
makes the T/A feel expensive and upscale, and it stows under a
semi-rigid boot that gives a sleek profile. You also get a
reasonable trunk that's ideal for a weekend getaway with your
favorite someone. The only powerplant available in the Trans Am was
the venerable 350 cubic inch LT1 V8. GM played games with the
numbers so the F-bodies wouldn't step on their big brother, but
it's the same motor that makes 300 horsepower in the Corvette. It's
also bulletproof reliable and makes the T/A a genuinely fast car,
even today. Despite the availability of go-fast aftermarket parts,
this one remains 100% stock, including the exhaust and air filter,
so there are no concerns about sub-standard workmanship or abuse.
It starts easily with a nice bark from the dual exhaust, and thanks
to fuel injection, it idles properly and just works like it should.
The engine bay is clean and well-maintained, showing all the
factory stickers and markings for show purposes. The convertibles
were only available with GM's excellent 700R4 4-speed automatic
transmission, and with 3.23 gears and a deep overdrive, this is a
peerless highway cruiser that can eat up pavement effortlessly. The
suspension is performance-oriented yet rides pretty well (this
isn't a luxury car, remember) and the 4-wheel disc brakes are
massively powerful. Looking underneath, you can easily see that it
has never seen inclement weather or even a hard rain storm, and
again, all the factory markings are present. Special white alloy
wheels were unique to the Anniversary cars, and this one carries
brand new 245/50/16 performance radials so it's ready to
rock.Documentation is extensive. We have the original window
sticker and build sheet, factory manuals, dealer invoice, original
sales contract, and more. We also have a bunch of receipts for
maintenance over the past 30 years. We love special edition cars
that suggest the automakers respect the hobby. And when they're
celebrating something as important as the Pontiac Trans Am, well,
we tend to take notice. This is a super clean car with low miles
and an excellent pedigree, perfect for summertime cruising and
shows. If you're a Pontiac fan or just looking for a cool ragtop to
enjoy this summer, there aren't many better choices than this. Call
