1941 Lincoln Continental Coupe

This Lincoln Continental V-12 Coupe has documented owner history supported by correspondence, invoices and registrations all the way back to the second owner in 1944! the Third owner acquired it in 1969, restoring it in 1979, and then it passed on to the next owner in 2000, with 2 more owners in the mid aughts. The Lincoln Continental was a styling bombshell just before the war, a revolutionary new look that made them instantly collectible, even when they were almost new!
The Henry Ford Museum documented the car in 1969 with the car build record as delivered in February, 1941 in Darien Blue and Custom blue interior, chrome band and Firestone whitewalls.
It’s equipped with the 292 Cubic inch flathead V-12, 120 factory rated horsepower, and 3 speed manual transmission without the optional overdrive.
It’s finished in deep blue, the work is high quality, although shows a bit of age. The bodywork is exceptionally straight, there are no signs of rust through, and it has obviously had good care over the years. The doors fit nicely, windows actuate properly, and the panel fits are good. The interior is done in blue leather with wool carpeting and proper headliner. The upholstery and carpet are nice, but do show a bit of age, as befits a high quality older restoration. It has had some recent service work, starts easily and drives nicely. The engine bay is clean, and the car benefits from newer replacement cast iron cylinder heads. The chrome is in good shape, with the exception of the front bumper ends. The speedometer is not currently functional.
This car is welcome in many clubs, including the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA), the Lincoln Continental Owners Club, and the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA ). It’s ready to enjoy now!
