Vehicle Description

1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ Why This Car Is Special The Grand Prix is a line of automobiles produced in its first generation by the Pontiac Division of General Motors from 1962 to 2002 for coupes and 1989-2008. This 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ we have here at Skyway Classics in a great color combination of tan over brown with a tan vinyl top and is a great example of the car that neatly combined the same 400 cubic inch V8 found in the Trans Am with the luxury features of a Buick, and wrapped it all in some of the best Pontiac styling of the decade. Ours has the Hurst T-Tops, 0riginal two tone paint job, factory interior with leather bucket seats, air conditioning, factory CB radio, and the original spare and jack too. Features 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ 400 cubic inch V-8 engine Three-speed Turbo Automatic Transmission 4-barrel carburetor Engine compartment looks factory stock Ram Air cleaner Pontiac blue painted engine block, valve covers and intake Factory cast iron exhaust manifolds Air conditioning Power steering and brakes Tan vinyl dual front bucket seat interior Matching rear seat Brown carpet Pontiac floor mats Matching door panels Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Air Conditioning Factory console housing the automatic shifter Futuristic Pontiac dash Factory stereo system Very rare factory CB radio Rare Factory Hurst T-Tops Painted in the factory original two-tone tan over dark brown Landau half-vinyl roof Hurst T-Tops 0riginal looking trunk with the mat, original spare and jack Factory Pontiac Rally II wheels BF Goodrich raised white letter performance tires Mechanical Ours has the powerful 400 cubic inch V-8 Engine that came standard on the SJ backed by a three-speed Turbo Automatic Transmission. It looks all original with the 4-barrel carburetor and runs like a Trans Am. The engine compartment looks factory stock with just routine maintenance done to it. It still retains the factory Pontiac blue painted engine block, valve covers and intake, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, air conditioning, power steering and brakes, and all the other running gear. The single exhaust system has that muted muscular tone that suits the Grand Prix just fine as it rides down the road on factory Pontiac Rally II wheels and wear fat BF Goodrich raised white letter performance tires. Interior Our Pontiac has a plush tan dual front bucket seat interior with the matching rear seat, brown carpet and Pontiac floor mats, great matching door panels, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, factory console housing the automatic shifter, Cruise Control, futuristic Pontiac dash the factory Rally Gauges, Factory stereo system, very rare factory CB radio, and the rare Factory Hurst T-Tops. Exterior From the factory our Grand Prix Had a complete reworking of the front header and bumper on the 1977 Grand Prix, the parking lamps were now positioned between the quad headlamps, and the grille was narrower and extended into the lower portion of the bumper. Ours is painted in the factory original two-tone tan over dark brown with the paint showcasing the handsome long nose/short deck profile, V-shaped grille, steeply sloping rear window, all makes it look fast even sitting still. Chrome was still a big feature in 1977, and the bumpers, trim, and lenses all look great as does the Landau half-vinyl roof with the Hurst T-Tops, and the hood emblem. Ours has the original looking trunk with the mat, original spare and jack. Conclusion This 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ we have here at Skyway Classics is an original car and is exceptionally clean, has a ton of originality with classic looks and performance, and a killer combo of style, luxury, and performance to gain the attention anywhere you cruise to.
